It can be used as a replacement for a lost or damaged vent screw or kept as a spare part for trips. The vent opening allows pressure to equalize between the inside of the board and the surrounding environment. The included O-ring seals the opening when the screw is properly tightened, helping prevent water from entering the board. The Torx head allows the screw to be opened and closed using a suitable Torx key or bit.
