Waist attachment with less cord around your feet Wearing your board leash around the waist raises the connection point compared with an ankle-mounted leash. Combined with the coiled construction, this helps keep loose cord away from your feet when changing stance and moving through manoeuvres. The 8 ft cord — approximately 244 cm — is 7 mm thick. Its coiled shape stays compact while riding and extends as the distance between you and the board increases. Two swivels, one at each end, allow the connections to rotate and help reduce cord twist. Neoprene padding and an easy-to-use fastening A 4 mm neoprene lining provides soft cushioning between the belt and your body. The fastening uses a Dyneema loop instead of a conventional plastic buckle, with a hook-and-loop closure for adjusting the fit. A large pull loop at the end of the strap makes it easier to grip when putting the belt on or taking it off. It also acts as a stopper, helping prevent the strap from pulling completely through the fastening loop when undone. An additional loop for fit adjustment or a wing leash The second Dyneema loop has two alternative uses. It can provide another point for threading the belt to accommodate a smaller waist, or serve as an attachment point for a wing leash. This includes connecting an FBC wing leash fitted with a swivel carabiner. Lite vs Pro+ — the difference in release systems The Lite version does not have the dedicated emergency quick-release mechanism found on the Pro+. The large pull loop at the hook-and-loop closure is designed to help operate the belt fastening — it is not an emergency release handle. This is an important distinction when choosing your board leash setup.
