Gaastra booms are made using Monocoque technology, which uses a single aluminum tube in the construction. By reducing the moving parts and making the boom from a single carbon tube, the boom's bendability is reduced and durability is improved. With a wider tail and R-Shape design, it is ideal for larger sails as it allows for a deeper profile. The Gaastra Carbon Race is available in 3 sizes, each with a unique shape, perfectly adapted to each surfer's needs. The boom is made entirely of carbon fiber, so it weighs only 3kg (size 180-230) while remaining extremely stiff. The use of top quality materials increases the responsiveness of the thruster and makes it easier to maintain an optimal sail profile.
