More efficiency upwind and downwind FRIGATE 2026 develops the concept of the original version with a broader wind range, increased stability in stronger wind and improved pumping efficiency in the low end. Its refined profile and higher aspect ratio improve aerodynamic efficiency and acceleration, helping riders travel upwind more effectively before starting a downwind run or exploring longer sections of coastline. More ribs and greater responsiveness The new FRIGATE uses a greater number of ribs to increase tension and improve response. A more supported profile improves pumping efficiency, particularly in lighter wind, and allows rider input to translate more directly into acceleration. Wider wind range The new generation has been designed to maintain a consistent character across a broader wind range. In lighter conditions it generates smooth, efficient power, while remaining stable and predictable as the wind increases. The increased depower range improves comfort in the high end and also makes it easier to ride with smaller foils and boards. Double Dynamic Bridle System The new Double Dynamic Bridle System uses fewer connection points and shorter bridles. This reduces the risk of tangles and creates a more direct feel. The system acts on both the front and rear lines, automatically optimizing the shape and balance of the parawing as it is sheeted in and out. Some bridles become active when sheeted out, while others work when sheeted in, with no adjustment required from the rider. The design also allows the B-connector to be removed from the bar without adding yokes, pulleys or a more complex bridle layout. Pack Assist The Pack Assist system uses a set of front bridles to neutralize the parawing quickly. By sliding a hand a few centimeters along the white spliced bridles, power drops immediately and the FRIGATE adopts a stable shape for downwind riding and easy stashing in a stash belt. This makes both packing and redeployment quicker and more intuitive during a session. Vertical Carbon Bar FRIGATE uses a vertical carbon bar with a molded section and an extended front area. This improves grip and comfort, especially close to the front bridles, while also creating a clear support point in stronger wind. The rider can sheet out more easily in a single movement, reducing wrist strain and front-hand pressure when riding without a harness. D-Ribs and profile control FRIGATE uses D-ribs to improve canopy tension management and profile stability. This allows the wing to use fewer bridles while maintaining rigidity, contributing to better glide, a wider wind range and a more direct response. Ultra Light Ribs Technology All sizes use Ultra Light Ribs Technology, reducing rib weight without compromising stiffness. A softer fabric also allows the parawing to pack down into a smaller volume. The larger 5.5 and 6.5 m² sizes use a hybrid fabric construction in the trailing section that is 20% lighter. This helps the larger sizes stay in the air, improves responsiveness and supports better low-end performance.
