What's new for 2027 – improved profile stability with Overlapping Seams and Hybrid Batten Construction One of the key updates is Overlapping Seams. Adjacent panels overlap to form a more integrated load-bearing structure, reducing material deformation under wind pressure. This supports draft stability and more direct power transfer to the board, particularly during strong gusts. The second major update is Hybrid Batten Construction, combining glass and carbon battens. Glass battens support the lower sail sections, improving low-end performance and handling in short, steep chop. Stiffer carbon battens in the upper sections help maintain the profile under greater loads, supporting acceleration and stability in stronger winds. This combination extends the usable wind range without making the entire sail excessively stiff. 7 battens, 4 cambers and High Aspect Ratio – stability at V-max Every Warp_Fin 2027 size features seven battens and four cambers, stabilising the deep racing profile during acceleration and powered-up sailing. A consistent draft position helps maintain efficient trim at high speeds. The High Aspect Ratio design, particularly in larger sizes, combines a proportionally longer luff with a shorter boom. Together with the forward-positioned profile, this reduces the perceived load on the rider's arms, making the sail easier to control at the upper end of its wind range. The Moderate Cutaway Clew reduces excessive movement in the lower leech, providing a more direct response to gusts and efficient acceleration. HYPER CAM 2.0 – adjustable power and rotation without removing the sail from the mast The HYPER CAM 2.0 system allows each camber's length to be adjusted using a single Torx screw, eliminating traditional spacers. Adjustments can even be made while the sail is fully rigged. Extending the camber increases pressure against the mast and helps maintain a powerful profile, while shortening it reduces tension for easier rotation during jibes. Exposed rollers minimise friction during transitions, providing smooth operation across different SDM mast diameters. Factory-calibrated iROCKET 2.0, VTS 2.0 and HTS 2.0 trim systems The iROCKET 2.0 system features lightweight batten tensioners, individually calibrated at the factory using a torque wrench. Thread-locked screws help maintain these settings, eliminating the need to determine the correct batten tension from scratch. VTS 2.0 (Visual Trim System) provides reference markers in the upper panel to indicate the appropriate downhaul range. These make it easier to adjust luff tension and twist according to wind conditions. HTS 2.0 (Harnessline Trim System) indicates the correct harness line position on the boom, helping riders establish proper rig balance and reproduce their settings when changing sail sizes. Reinforced construction and controlled upper-leech response Double Seam Technology uses reinforced double seams in critical areas. According to Duotone, these can reduce material bending elongation by up to 50%, supporting profile stability and seam durability. X-Ply Batten Pockets minimise stretching and do not absorb water, helping maintain consistent tension without adding water weight. The upper sail incorporates a 3D Top Cap to distribute downhaul forces and a specially shaped TT Top. Together, these features support progressive twist and controlled leech opening in gusts. Low-stretch polyester webbing helps preserve the intended trim, while an integrated protector shields the lower sail area. Seven sizes tailored to racing conditions Warp_Fin 2027 is available in seven sizes from 5.2 to 9.0 m². Duotone uses three size-specific design concepts to match different wind ranges, giving each size an appropriate balance of power, stability and control. The smallest 5.2 m² version has been redesigned for more precise handling in strong winds. The returning 9.0 m² expands the options for light-wind racing setups. All sizes feature a fixed top (FIX) and are designed exclusively for SDM masts. Duotone Platinum is the recommended choice throughout the range, while the manufacturer's specification table also lists Gold masts for sizes from 6.7 m² upwards. The correct mast bend curve is essential for maintaining the intended profile, twist and camber rotation. Even properly adjusted downhaul and outhaul cannot compensate for an incompatible mast.
