Freeride / Freestyle For twenty years, the Raptor has remained one of the key twintip models in the CrazyFly range. The 2027 version continues to combine freeride versatility with freestyle dynamics, offering a performance-oriented character for intermediate and advanced riders. Refined outline The refined outline improves efficiency and maximizes the usable bottom surface without making the board feel overly bulky. This gives the Raptor a large working surface while keeping it agile and easy to control. Edge Control Track The bottom features an Edge Control Track, designed to increase grip and improve edge hold. Stronger edging supports both efficient upwind riding and more powerful loading before take-off. Fin mounting for 2027 For 2027, CrazyFly introduced new 6 mm-diameter fin mounting holes. When replacing fins or using accessories from previous model years, check that the mounting system is compatible. Subtle center Vee The bottom uses a subtle center Vee to improve control at higher speeds. This geometry supports smoother handling and helps the rider manage speed during more dynamic riding. Triaxial 45 Eglass The Triaxial 45 Eglass layup reinforces the board in three directions. Its strategic placement increases torsional and heel-to-toe stiffness without making the board excessively stiff along its length. This gives the Raptor a responsive feel, strong pop and more comfortable flex. Double Carbon Stringers Double carbon stringers are used on both the deck and bottom of the board. They increase the board’s dynamic response under load and support a strong load'n'pop feel while maintaining a comfortable overall flex. Step Cap Deck The Step Cap Deck construction allows for thinner rails. Thinner rails improve edging precision and help the board maintain efficient upwind tracking. Wood Core The board features a full wood core precisely shaped using CNC technology. CNC machining is used to cut the outline, drill the holes and create the required 3D core profiles, allowing accurate control over geometry and flex. Fusion Side Walls The Fusion Side Walls are made from a special blend of high-end polymers. According to CrazyFly, this is their strongest sidewall construction to date, developed for high durability and strong bonding with the other board layers. Invisible Inserts The Invisible Inserts system keeps the bottom surface clean and uninterrupted. The inserts are visible only from the deck side, where pads and straps are mounted. This helps preserve the intended flex pattern and bottom geometry. Pads, straps or wake bindings The Raptor can be used with standard pads and straps as well as wake bindings. This allows the setup to be adapted for freeride, freestyle and more aggressive riding styles.
